Zoom

To hold this webinar, we use „Zoom“. You can use the Zoom-Web-Client to join our meeting without plug-ins or additional software. You can join our meeting without a Zoom-Account.

Zoom is a data processor. When using Zoom as a guest (not registered with an account), the platform is processing the following categories of personal data:

  • Operation Data: Technical information from Zoom’s software or systems hosting the Services, and from the systems, applications and devices that are used to access the Services, such as Configuration Data, Meeting metadata, Feature Usage Data, Performance Data and Service Logs
  • Approximate Location
  • Persistent Identifiers on Marketing Pages (Cookies): Internet protocol (IP) addresses, Browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), Referrer URL, Exit pages, the files viewed on our marketing sites (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), Operating system, and Date/time stamp (see the Cookie Policy for more detail)

If you are logged in with a Zoom account, the personal data processed through the meeting is also linked to the account data. The data is also transferred to server in the USA. For more information: Privacy Policy Zoom

Legal basis:

Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests): In order to hold the online event, Zoom needs to collect personal data. Therefore RAILS has a legitimate interest in the collection of the personal data needed to hold the meeting.

Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent): Joining our meeting, you are giving your concent to the processing of your personal data in Europe and the USA. You can revoke your consent by sending an e-mail to info@ai-laws.org. If you revoke, you need to leave the Zoom meeting immediately.

 

YouTube

If we exceed 100 participants, the event will be streamed live on „YouTube“ (Google Inc.). The live stream is not listed on YouTube and can only be accessed with the right URL. After the event the live stream will be deleted. You don’t have to log into YouTube to watch the live stream.

Through streaming the event, YouTube collects personal data from the people speaking in the Zoom conference and from those who watch the live stream. When using YouTube as a guest (not registered with an account), the platform is processing the following categories of personal data:

  • Operation Data: Technical information from Zoom’s software or systems hosting the Services, and from the systems, applications and devices that are used to access the Services, such as Configuration Data, Meeting metadata, Feature Usage Data, Performance Data and Service Logs

In order to present the live stream YouTube needs to collect personal data. Therefore RAILS has a legitimate interest in the collection of the personal data needed to present the live stream.

Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent): Watching the live stream, you are giving your concent to the processing of your personal data in Europe and the USA. You can revoke your consent by sending an e-mail to info@ai-laws.org. If you revoke, you need to leave the live stream immediately.

 

Registration & Feedback (Google Forms)

We use Google Forms for registration and to collect feedback. The information you write in the form is processed by Google and collected by RAILS. Additionally Google collects technical information (IP-address, metadata about your device and browser, placing cookies) in order to provide the form. The collected personal data is stored on servers in Europe and USA.

By filling out and sending the form, you give your consent to the data processing by Google and to transfering the data to the USA, Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a GDPR (consent). You can revoke your consent by sending an e-mail to info@ai-laws.org.

As a data subject you have the following rights:

  • Right to rectification, Art. 16 GDPR
  • Right to erasure (‘right to be forgotten’), Art. 17 GDPR
  • Right to restriction of processing, Art. 18 GDPR

  • Right to object, Art. 21 GDPR
